Cloud 9 is a feature I do here at Rainy Thursdays twice a month. It is my version of those “Top 10” posts you see floating around the blogosphere. Instead of ten items, however there are, of course, nine.


Tamora Pierce is in a league all her own. Since I was young, I have been enthralled and inspired by her powerful writing. It’s gotten to the point  that I buy her books without even reading the synopsis. I have never been disappointed in her novels.

The Glitch Mob Concert

Fiance and I went to see the Glitch Mob last Thursday. I took a ridiculous amount of pictures but only a couple of them turned out okay. Afterwards, Fiance and I stuck around (thankfully he loves me that much) and were able to meet the group. Not only were they nice enough to autograph my ticket for me, they each took a picture with me. Fiance also got his shirt signed. To date, I think it is my favorite concert.

My first shiny Pokémon

My fiancé bought me Alpha Sapphire for our anniversary and I recently started playing it. Sapphire and Ruby are far from my favorite Pokémon games but I am enjoying the upgrade.

But I am mainly excited about my first shiny Pokémon! I know it’s nothing exciting but I am happy. Even if it is only a Cascoon….
