Chloe’s decision to celebrate the end of a turbulent relationship sends her off for a weekend of hiking and bonding with Mother Nature. When a rainstorm strikes during a spontaneous mountain climb, she has no choice but to seek shelter – and become hopelessly lost within a dank and dismal cave system. There’s one more problem: her golden-eyed, incredibly sexy rescuer isn’t the average hiker. He’s also a dragon.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I thought it was going to be the stereotypical “girl gets in trouble then has sex with the man who saves her.” It wasn’t far off but it was different enough that I actually enjoyed the overall story. First of all, there was no “you are my one and only true mate” trope. Even though the female was technically special to him, the authors graciously left that mate trope out. Second of all, the female lead was the one with more sexual experience. Those type of novels are 1 in a million and authors pulled it off. I loved that he didn’t start of as an all-knowing sex god. Instead, the female lead had to show him different acts and what she liked. Not only was it sexy, he was super sweet too. I look forward to reading more of their works.
