The Autumn Book Tag
Thanks to Deanna over @ a novel glimpse for tagging me in this. It took me a while to get it done because this is the week all my school projects are due! This was a lovely little break from all the schoolwork.
According to Tash @ The Bookie Monster, The Autumn Book Tag was created by a Booktuber but the original creator is no longer on Youtube. So no credit where credit is due. Sorry, booktuber! Now, for the tag!
What is your favorite thing about autumn?
Honestly, as cliché as it sounds, the weather is my favorite thing. Because of where I live, the weather is the best in autumn. I don’t do well in the extreme heat and cold of our summers and winters.
What book reminds you of your school days?
Nothing particular comes to mind. I have read a lot over the years and I really don’t associate any particular books with my school days. However, Harry Potter always makes me think about school (maybe because it is set in a school…)
What cover reminds you of autumn?
Look for Me By Moonlight by Mary Downing Hahn. This was the cover when I read it (it has since been reprinted.)
What is your favorite horror or Halloween story?
Any of Mary Downing Hahn and Dan Pablocki. I really enjoyed Pablocki’s The Ghost of Graylock and any of Hahn’s ghost stories.
What is your favorite horror or Halloween film?
I had a hard time answering this because I love way too many. Horror movies are my favorite (although I am a big chicken!) Therefore, I am going with the last two horror films I really enjoyed. I am not sure Tucker and Dale vs. Evil is considered true horror, so I added the Taking of Deborah Logan.
What is your favorite horror or Halloween video game?
I added this one because I am such an avid gamer. Hands down, The Evil Within is my favorite. It’s just amazing in every way. There are a lot of horror games that I liked but The Evil Within is just tops especially since it has such a a great storyline to go with the game.
What fall book release are you looking forward to?
Definitely Beating Ruby by Camilla Monk. Spotless blew me away and I almost cried when I realized I had to wait for the next book!
What autumn movie release are you most anticipating?
Like Deanna, I had to look this up. I love under a rock so I had no idea what movie were coming out. It actually wasn’t too hard, though, as soon as I saw that Goosebumps is coming out soon. I am stoooooked for this movie (even though I never really read Goosebumps.)
What are three books you plan to read this autumn?
I never plan on reading books. It just kind of happens. I am patiently waiting for Beating Ruby to come out so if I am able to grab an ARC I will definitely read that. I also have Gena Showalter’s The Hotter You Burn which is the second in her Original Heartbreakers series. I am still working on The Closer You Come which is the first. If I manage to finish it any time soon (I keep putting it down), I will start on the second. On top of that I am really jonesing to read more of Evangeline Anderson’s Brides of the Kindred series. I don’t know if I can curb myself and not buy the next three. I will try to be strong since Christmas is coming up, but I don’t know…
I had so much fun doing this. Unfortunately, I waited so long that everyone I wanted to tag has already been tagged! So I say anyone who wants to do it can.

Ahhh!!! The Taking of Deborah Logan picture is going to be in my nightmares! Ahhh!!! Seriously icky! I forgot about the Goosebumps movie. I do want to see that. Great answers! 🙂
I know! It’s horrifying right? That’s the whole reason I wanted to watch it though. I kept seeing the cover on Netflix and couldn’t stop myself.
I forgot about the Goosebumps movie until I looked up upcoming releases. I just saw the preview for it when I went with my niece to see Hotel Transylvania 2 so I am upset with myself for forgetting.
Yes, extremely horrifying. I would NEVER watch it. But I don’t do scary movies!
I love scary movies though I don’t watch them by myself. If you don’t like scary movies, definitely don’t watch it!
