The Firework Book Tag

Thanks to Deanna over at a novel glimpse for this lovely idea. I am really starting to enjoy these posts!

SCREAMERS: A book that made you want to scream, in a good, or bad waycover71827-medium

I couldn’t even get into the splot because the characters were so obnoxious. I stopped reading halfway through otherwise I was going to throw my ereader across the room.

BOMBERS: A book that you read before it “exploded in the book community”30183

This was legitimately the only novel I could think of. I read a lot of P.C. Cast’s adult paranormal romance before the HON series was released. I read it as soon as it was released and then it became huge.

BANGERS: A banned book you read33

Oh boy, what haven’t I read? Look up a list of banned books and I have probably read 80% of them. For the sake of this post, however, I will do Lord of the Rings since it is among my favorite novels.

PEONY: A book/author you think everyone needs to read

This is so difficult! I can’t pick one. I would have to say Camilla Monk and her Spotless series, Tracy M. Joyce and her Chronicles of Altaica Series, and anything by Grace Draven (as well as Tamora Pierce).

CROSSETTE: A book/series with a complicated plot359375

I am going with Sergei Lukyanenko’s NightWatch series. While it is one of the most masterfully written fantasy series I have ever read, there is a lot going on and you don’t even know what is relevant until the end when it all comes together. The series as a whole blew my mind.

DIADEM: A book/series with a set of amazing central characters60510

I figured I should do something different for each tag so I can’t use any of the previously mentioned novels/series. Therefore, I would have t say Maria V. Snyder’s Study Series. Snyder created a cornucopia of interesting and diverse characters for this series. Love them or hate them, one can’t deny they are amazingly written.
